Muslim contestant walks off Bear Grylls reality TV show The Island - because he couldn't handle 'living with half-naked women' wearing bikinis
- Rizwan Shabir, 27, has walked out of Channel 4 survival reality show
- He says he felt uncomfortable at being around 'half-naked women'
- The married father of three is a devout Muslim who could be seen praying during his time on the programme
These people make me howl. They want to live in our country, but they don't want to abide by our way of life. If we went to a Muslim country, we would have to abide by theirs, therefore why should they make such demands. Rizwan has been a pain in the bum for the islanders since Day One...blubbering as soon as he got there, saying he wanted to go home, holding everyone up and making their ordeal worse than it could have been. Like everyone else, he knew what he was letting himself in for. How does he expect women to dress in tropical climes, when scavenging for food and roughing it...in burkas? And if he's a "traditional" Muslim who disapproves of such things, why do we see so many of his fellows on our summer beaches, wearing thongs and skimpy swimsuits? Just asking. And as for him wanting to leave the island because our women offend him, might I offer a better suggestion...remove all of them to another island, and leave Rizwan where he is.
